Heritage Hall

I'm excited to announce that we officially have our Rehearsal Dinner location!  It has been a rigmarole to figure this out.  It will be at Heritage Hall right by downtown Kirkland, WA.  And now, back to studying for my two finals that I have today!

Girls Nights, Finals, and Showers

Dear whoever reads my blogs...

There are very few things I enjoy as much as I enjoy girls nights with two of my favorite girls: Elle Bryant (soon-to-be Carlson) and Lena Lewis (soon-to-be Raney).  We always have the best time chatting about everything under the sun, but lately the topic of conversation usually relates to planning our weddings, our fiancés, and all the fun pre-wedding festivities that we are so excited about.  I am so incredibly blessed to have two amazing girls to go through life and love together.  We became friends when we were dating (Elle and Jake were first, then Brian and I, and then Lena and Aaron).  Then the engagements began (Brian and I were first, then Lena and Aaron, and then Elle and Jake).  And now we're planning our weddings which are set for June (Brian and I), July (Aaron and Lena), and August (Jake and Elle).  I can't imagine going through all these exciting chapters of my life without these two girls - and all their love, support, encouragement, and understanding.

And you know that I think these two girls are something special when I take three hours during one of the nights before finals to have a girls night : )  Which was well worth it!  Elle had so much to share about her wedding plans.

Once finals are over tomorrow (Thursday), I get to pack my suitcase and go to the airport with my favorite person of all: Brian.  We're going to North Carolina first, then Georgia.  Which means that we have our first wedding shower on Saturday!  I can hardly believe it!  This shower has been in the plans for months now... and it's finally happening this weekend.  And then next weekend, we have a shower in Georgia!  Do I have loving family and friends or what?!  Although the showers will be fun, I am most of all looking forward to everyone getting to know the special man the Lord has placed in my life: Brian.  And I'm excited for him to see two places where I spent much of my summers growing up.  It's going to be a blast!

Love,
Anna Farlow (soon-to-be Carper)

Seattle Art

I love this "Seattle" neighborhood poster by Ork Posters!  Maybe one day this will grace the walls of our home...

Honeymoon!

We just booked out honeymoon to Maui and we are sooo excited!  We will fly out of Seattle to Maui the morning after our wedding on June 19th (Sunday) and stay at the Royal Lahaina Resort until we fly back to Seattle on June 24th (Friday).  We are looking forward to exploring this beautiful island together and soaking up some sun on Maui's famous beaches!

Scratch That

Yesterday my sister (and MOH) did our trial run with Pacific Artistry, which was a good thing.  Shanelle was sweet and fun to work with, however I don't think she is going to be the right match for us.  So I am back to square 1 - but it looks like I may have found someone else.  I'll let you know when it's more finalized... but I think this could be a good bump in the road!  And it also made me realize that I am not a fan of airbrush makeup for myself : )  We're making progress in our own unique way that sometimes involves taking a few steps back and re-examining what is right in front of you!

Could Not Be Happier!

I could not be happier to (finally) announce that Elle Bryant (a bridesmaid) and Jake Carlson (a groomsman) are engaged and getting married this August!  They have been such a source of love, encouragement, support, adventure, and absolute fun for Brian and I over the last few years.  It has been a joy to watch their relationship grow into what it is today.  They are so perfect for each other and I'm thrilled that the Lord has brought them together!

Updates!

I have gotten LOTS done in the last month : )  Here are a few of the many things accomplished:
  • found a rehearsal dinner dress from White House Black Market
  • completed alterations for my wedding dress (from the best alterations lady on this side of the Mississippi: P.A. Jens Custom Sewing)
  • finished designing our wedding invitations with Sara from Constellation & Co.
  • found shoes for the wedding!
  • found a cute go-away dress from Nordstrom
And a few of the big events coming up that are related to my wedding are:
  • North Carolina Bridal Shower (hosted by my Grandma Farlow and my Aunt Mary Farlow)
  • Georgia Bridal Shower (hosted by my Aunt Mary Madeline and Aunt Nance)
  • Seattle Bridal Shower (hosted by my sister Catherine and Aunt Carol)
  • Lingerie Shower (hosted by my bridesmaids Lena and Elle)

More Bouquets

I found some more bouquet ideas that I love even more than the first ones I posted a few months ago : )  The first one is my favorite!  All this reminds me that I really need to find a florist for the wedding!!!

Fit for a Bride

My wonderful sister (and maid of honor) found these beautiful shoes that I will wear for my wedding!  They are new from Ivanka Trump's line of shoes.  They are truly fit for a bride!
